Although the basics of basket weaving are explained in this book, re: terminology used and some basic techniques, there are no actual basket patterns and no photos. This is not what I expected. I love the idea of making handmade baskets but this is not a guide that would help someone to make even a simple one, given what is included in this eBook.There was one statement in this book that I noted that I definitely do not agree with. The author says:"People will spend a lot of money to buy the goods that you do with a few hours of labor and inexpensive materials. Hence the return on investment is great. "I have purchased a lot of baskets over the years in all shapes and sizes and most of them were VERY cheap in terms of money, even some that were beautifully made.I don't think anyone is going to get wealthy making homemade baskets. ;-) That definitely did not ring true.Deleted from my kindle already.
There should be a no star rating for this item! DO NOT BUY.Everything in this book is general terminology. There is no instruction on technique or patterns.A five minute Google search will give you all the information contained in this pamphlet for free - save the $7Did the money they took from me for this garbage fund terrorism? Probably not.But am I angry at being taken advantage of and using an online forum? Oh Yes.
i have just come back to basket weaving after many years absent and found this book extremely helpful for reviewing and renewing my skills. time is often the robber of talent and memory and this helped fill in the gap. reccd for anyone beginning or moderately skill in this wonderful hobby. it can develop into a nice money maker also as your skill increases
No useful information. No instructions or projects.
Don't waste your money on this book because it really doesn't give you any information which you couldn't get for free. There are no illustrations so, if you've never woven before, the written instructions of types of weaves, etc., are pretty useless. Better for you would be one of many other excellent books on weaving. I just thought to add to my collection but it wasn't worth it in this case. By the way, this is the first negative report I've ever written.
This does not qualify as a book... It should be listed as a booklet... I am extremely disappointed in this booklet... I made the mistake of not reading others feedback before purchasing this booklet... no pictures, I'm not happy, feeling taken advantage of
I can’t understand most of what is covered. There are no pictures. It is basically a short primer on basket weaving terms. It might be useful as a reference guide later on, but it hasn’t helped me make my first basket.
