This is a good book. We read it aloud on a road trip to everyone in the car a few chapters at a time. Good story and interesting how the author brings a context to the story. I'm sure there is a lot of artistic freedom taken in there with the conversations had and thoughts the characters had, but the general story is true and intact. Good lessons learned and shared with the kids!

This is a WONDERFUL resource for me as a teacher. My 3rd grade students read this biography in class, and the reader does a great job of making the book come to life!
Great beginner look at the life of a faith filled man. I am reading this to my 7 year old boy, 5 year old girl, and 3 year old girl as part of our homeschool. They all seem to be very interested and understand the story line (well maybe not so much the 3y.o. , but she is sitting still as I read).It is also bousting my faith as well. If I had some more free time I would like to read a grown up version of his life for myself, hopefully my kids will want to do the same when they are older.
Watch the one-hour video on his life, rentable at Amazon. This man is an example to all of us of how to really follow Christ and live on the edge of complete trust, in God and in the promise that He hears our prayers. It will change your life, and if it doesn't, I don't know what else to say!
I read this to my two small children, but it is a bit too over their heads. I continue to read, though, as they love to be read to and I love this book! I can't put it down! Read it and be encouraged and inspired!

I originally was only reading this because my mom said if I did that I could get the sequel to a book I got on Amazon with her money. But... I surprised myself by actually liking it! I read like, 6 Chapters every night and some more in the morning. I would highly recommend this series for anyone looking for some biographies of some pretty amazing people.
