My son loves these books! They are educational and an easy read for a second grader.
A few years ago we mada trip to the Washington Mall and the Smithsonian at the same time we were going to war in Iraq. The mood of the crowd was very somber. The grandness of the Mall somehow seemed even grander. If you can't afford a trip to the Mall, at least you can expose yourself to one of our nation's greatest heroes. We thought at the time that every soldier should get a chance to visit the Washington Monument before going off to fight. We also think that every schoolboy should read a little of out nation's greatest leaders before we send them off to vote at age 18.
This book is for my daughter, very fun history short story.

Very easy to read.
My nephew has Aspberger's and is obsessed with John Adams. He has read many books about John, but loved this one.
This is easy for a child to read.
My son had to write a report on John Adams. This book's text was readily readable, but still contained lots of useful information, including facts I didn't know myself.
