Fast as F*ck, but delightfully delicious! I never had any doubt, because Granny Pottymouth is the best!The cook book is great, and helps me come up with meals I can crank out when I'm low on energy and the kids are starving. The meals are great and pretty healthy as well. It's a great book, and so funny!
The first thing you notice with this book are the nice, heavy pages which stay open when you are following a recipe. The next is how positive Peggy Glenn (Granny Pottymouth) is. She is a sassy granny who tells it like it is! These are some really tasty recipes and this busy mom appreciates their simplicity. I'm already hoping she will come out with another book!
THE PERFECT GIFT! I'm a reluctant cook on my best days and know that if I'm going to lose weight I need to prepare meals at home. After months of saying shouldas and couldas, my wife bought me Granny's Cookbook and here I am starting off my days whipping up Granny's Socal Ham & Egg Sammie. The recipes are so easy and Granny's charming personality flies off the page, inspiring a smile every time. Thank you so much to my wife for her persistent determination to help me make better eating choices (probably extending my lifespan) and to Granny for writing an amazing cookbook that makes even I can enjoy!
I have been a fan of Granny PottyMouth's videos for awhile now. She is hysterical, yes but she can also cook. I have made several things now and nothing disappoints. This is easy to make and yummy. I got this as a gift for my future daughter in law who is learning to cook and did not own a cookbook. Recipes range from very basic to things that look complicated but are not to this takes some skill to throw together but you can do it. Not only is the author hilarious and the recipes good (I tried a few before I gifted it. ;) ), she is excellent at encouraging the reader to use their creativity and to trust their own judgement. The book isn't in front of me right now but one thing she wrote stuck. Something like: Try things. Experiment. You've been eating your whole life. You know what goes together and what doesn't. You know what you like and don't like. I would get this again for a new cook but.... I would also get this for someone who has been cooking a long time but follows recipes exactly and doesn't know how to just throw things together. I would also get it for someone who just likes to laugh. :)
Im adventurous in the kitchen lately, and this sure has some nice options. The wording is easy to follow, as she speaks in my tongue! Sturdy book with heavy pages and full photos really make these ideas come to life! I can easily pass this around at work in search of the next experiment! I love how easy these things are!!
